World Adventures Day Woodlands Conference
Woodlands Conference took part in the commemoration of the first ever World Adventurer Day. 15th May, 2021 will go into Church history as the day the Seventh-day Adventist Church first celebrated the existence of the Adventurer club. The club has been in existence since the year 1989, meaning it celebrated its 32nd anniversary. The Anniversary was celebrated under the theme “I Will Go”. The World Church’s quinquennial strategic focus “I Will Go” is already a year in motion now. This mission initiative was born from the inspiration of Isaiah 6 after God asked the prophet Isaiah about his willingness to go proclaim the Word having beheld the Holy presence. We can only imagine the prophet’s response, “I Will Go.” Isn’t this theme coming at the right time when this world which Jesus commissioned us to reach out to with advent message (Matthew 28:19-20) is desynchronized with Lockdowns, closures, and supply chain woes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. From here, how Will I Go? – To fulfilling the Mission, adventures have not been left out. Them too have a part to play, in reaching out to different colors, cultures, and communities in the best way that they can. The Bible in Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” And in John 1:4 Jesus Christ says “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right. Whole armies of children may come under Christ’s banner as missionaries, even in their childhood years. Never repulse the desire of children to do something for Jesus. Never quench their ardor for working in some way for the Master. [That I May Know Him Ch.36]

“Admittedly, we are living in a difficult and challenging time. At this stage in this life’s history, peace is not found in money, status or any political connection. It’s time to look up to God for sustenance. Political systems are failing . Economic reserves are getting depleted. Businesses are crumbling. Relationships are breaking up. Employment is unsustainable. Medical facilities are overwhelmed. The Catastrophes in this world are happening in quick succession. You don’t need to be told that people’s hearts are failing to comprehend the situation. At such a time as this, we need to build our lives on the Rock Jesus Christ. The words of Jesus are critical: “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, beacuse your redemption is drawing near” (Luke 21:28). The coming of Jesus Christ to the earth is the apex of our aspirations. We look forward to a time when sickness, weeping, and pain will be no more. Yes, let us look up! “
